cellity adds worldCALL VoIP service after its free “SMS” product

Get Free VoIP Call credit

cellityNow cellity adds worldCALL VoIP service and every new registered user will have 0.5 euro trial credit. As expected, it works via callback mode. So your mobile number, on which you will receive the activation code, is needed complete registration. The typical rate for calls with China is about 0.05 euro per minute, which is not so attractive. You can get more call credit by recommending it to others. For each refer, you get 200 cellity coins and you can only convert those coins into call credit when they exceed 500. The only thing impress me is that the Java client can work on my E680i with WAP connection.

cellity was first known for its twitter client. However, as twitter support multiple IM networks, I doubt this product has any advantage over moible IM clients such as Morange, Talkonaut and so on.

FreeSMS may be a more popular product from cellity. But it is not a really free “SMS” service, as the text message is not sent to your mobile phone directly. Instead, you will receive a WAP link from which you can visit the message. I am just wondering, the SMS contains the WAP link will also costs cellity money, why they don’t send the content directly. Of course, the WAP link can content more characters (2048 instead of 160) as cellity claims. Anyhow, I think the free SMS service mode from vyke is better — when you are online by GPRS, the SMS will be sent by internet, otherwise, it will be sent by traditional SMS.
