BBdict — one of the best dictionary software on BlackBerry
BBdict is a powerful dictionary software on BlackBerry support external dictionary files. Users can edit dictionary files by themselves no matter they are Chinese to English or English to Chinese or whatever. Users can customize their own dictionaries on PC and import to BlackBerry. The format of dictionary files is compatible with KDic/ZDic on Palm and StarDict on PC, thus users can find plenty of dictionary files sources on net.
As BBdict doesn’t include dictionary files, its own size is as small as less than 20KB. And dictionary files are compressed on BB to reduce the usage of storage space.
BBdict has Chinese and English Menus, and the default languages depends on the system language setting. Users can switch language with button and menu.
How to use BBdict:
1. Type words in the input window and press enter to get translation. Users can only type the first few letters.
2. The words starting with typed letters will be listed under the input window. Scroll down and press enter to get the translation of selected word.
3. Press ESC, SHIFT+DEL, ALT+DEL, Hold DEL, double click DEL in the input window to clear typed word.
4. When there is no word in input window, press ESC to exit BBdict。
5. Press ESC in the result window will return to the input window, press DEL will return and clear the typed word, press any letter or number will return and replace the typed word
6. Press space in the result window to page down and Alt+space or next to page up
7. Press Enter in result window to jump to the next word, Alt then Enter for the previous word.
8. Press ESC in the dictionary files management window to return to the input window.
9. Press DEL in the dictionary files management window to delete loaded dictionary files.
10. Press Space to switch the status of dictionary file
