MDict — One of the best dictionary software on Windows Mobile Platform
It is a pity that I cannot find a dictionary software for Java-enabled phone that as good as Kdic/Zdic on Palm. The author of Edic (Kdic/Zdic port Motorola EZX Linux mobile phones) wanted to develop his software with Java at beginning, but gave up as J2ME was too slow to read dictionary files.
When I just bought HP iPAQ 2210, Mdict was one of the most useful software on it. Mdict is a powerful dictionary software on PPC/Windows Mobile Platform developed by Rayman Zhang from China. It comes with tool to make dictionary files instead of providing dictionary data directly. Now there are hundreds of dictionary files for MDict (with .mdx extension) made by third party.
