Jaiku — a microblog similar to Twitter (free invitation available)

Jaiku is a startup providing microblogging and SMS service. Jaiku’s competitors include Twitter, Pownce and so on. In October 2007, Jaiku has been acquired by Google.Jaiku provides some features that Twitter doesn’t have. For example, users can bind their Blog, Flickr, Bookmarks and other social networking account with Jaiku, then posts, pictures, bookmarks and other informations spreading in different places can be aggregated together in real time. Although Jaiku provides excellent services, user experience, social elements and integration with mobile phones that even better than Twitter, there are so many mimics of Twitter and it is difficult for Jaiku to get attention of users.

Now Jaiku is part of Google’s products line, it may be integrated with Zingku, the mobile social networking startup just acquired by Google, to build Google’s complete mobile solution. At this moment, Jaiku only accepts new registrations via invitation. I still has several invitations that can be sent. If somebody is interested in, please just leave a comment.
